Graduation is more than just a ceremony. It's the celebration of years of hard work, memories, and traditions. And what better way to capture this milestone than with a professional photoshoot at some of the most iconic spots on the Texas A&M campus?

As a College Station-based photographer specializing in senior and graduation portraits, and an Aggie myself (Class of '25!), I’ve had the honor of working with many Aggie grads to create timeless photos in meaningful places. If you're looking for the perfect backdrops, here are the top 5 photo spots at Texas A&M for senior photos you don’t want to miss:

  1. The Administration Building

Why it’s a must-shoot spot: The Admin Building is hands-down one of the most recognizable places on campus. With its classic columns, wide steps, and beautiful hallway, it has that perfect “official grad photo” feel. If you’re only picking one spot, this one’s a no-brainer. It’s timeless, elegant, and totally screams “I’m an Aggie graduate!”

Photographer Tip: Plan your senior photos early! The closer to graduation it gets, the longer the line is to get photos in the hallway! You can easily spend 1-2 hours in line during April. Plan ahead, or try going in the morning to avoid crowds!

  1. Aggie Park

Why it’s a must-shoot spot: Aggie Park is one of the newer gems on campus and has quickly become a go-to spot for grad photos. With the mix of greenery, water, and open sky, it gives you plenty of options for laid-back, natural-looking shots. It’s a great spot if you want something a little different from the traditional buildings! The small bridge, rocky edges, and water reflections create beautiful depth and variety in your shots, especially during golden hour. Whether you’re posing by the water, walking across the bridge, or just soaking in the scenery, it’s hard to take a bad photo here!

Photographer Tip: There is a spot here that is perfect for champagne pops!

  1. Gruy Fountain

Why it’s a must-shoot spot: Gruy Fountain is a favorite for a reason. Its location next to Kyle Field means you can capture the iconic A&M signage in the background, adding a bold, school-spirited touch to your photos. The fountain’s layout also makes it great for dynamic shots, like champagne pops or walking photos. Whether you want something elegant or celebratory, this spot checks all the boxes.

Photographer Tip: Heads up! The fountain randomly shuts off, and it can totally catch you mid-shot! Don’t worry though, if you wait a few minutes, it usually kicks back on. Use that time to grab a few detail shots or pose your grad so you’re ready to go as soon as the water starts flowing again!

  1. Albritton Bell Tower

Why it's a must shoot-spot: If you’re looking for a location that’s a little different from the usual campus favorites, Albritton Bell Tower is a fantastic choice. It’s a statement spot that still feels 100% Texas A&M, but without the crowds you get at the Admin Building. Perfect if you want timeless photos with a more relaxed, low-key feel.

Photographer Tip: Albritton Bell Tower is surrounded by a roundabout, so be careful when shooting. You’ll need to stand in the road for the best angles. Keep an eye out for cars, and plan your shots during quieter times of the day to stay safe and stress-free. The extra space means fewer crowds, but always prioritize safety!

  1. Outside Kyle Field

Why it’s a must-shoot spot: You can’t graduate from Texas A&M without at least one photo in front of Kyle Field; it’s Aggie pride at its peak. The massive “Home of the 12th Man” signage, the bold architecture, and the sheer scale of the stadium make your photos feel big, bold, and celebratory. Whether you're a football fan or just want a backdrop that screams “I’m an Aggie,” this spot always delivers.

Location Tip: Unless you want your grad photos photobombed by 90,000 screaming fans in maroon, definitely avoid game days. Trust me, trying to take a cap-and-gown photo while people are tailgating behind you is not the vibe. Check the football schedule and plan accordingly… unless you're cool with becoming part of someone’s BBQ backdrop.
